145.0…A Fabulous Cheat Meal

When you are trying to eat healthier, you need a cheat meal every now and then for your sanity. Now, I realize it has only been three days since my healthy eats went into effect but still. I was pretty naughty for the last three months so I guess you have to start somewhere! Baby steps, people!

We met some friends at  Hamburger Factory for dinner last night. We really love this place and hadn’t been in way too long! I had my first glass of wine in 2012.

We all shared hot wings.

Oh my…they were good! But we did learn something: our hot wings are better. I guess all the time and effort that we spent perfecting them during this football season paid off.

I rolled with a cheeseburger for dinner.

It rocked. I had two delicious onion rings as well. When I left, I was in a happy place. My “cheat meal” was worth every calorie. I went to bed smiling.

Today it was back to business starting with breakfast.

Fage blueberry yogurt with raspberries and blackberries.

I took the kids to school and went to Zumba. I came home to change and pack up a lunch for the road.

Turkey sandwich, Jalapeno Popchips and several clementines. I had a wax appointment to go and I didn’t have a ton of time for lunch so I had to eat it in the car.  I don’t like eating in the car but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

My husband and I went to visit a friend in the hospital who just had a baby. When I had both kids, my husband decorated my hospital room with all  sorts of birthday party stuff, complete with a cake with a candle with the number zero. It’s the kid’s birthday! So…we decorated my friend’s room and brought her an ice cream cake (which I had a tiny piece….don’t want to be rude and all).

Tonight the hubby is working late so I’m on my own for dinner. All I know is that it will be healthy!

Do you eat in the car?

  1. That cheat dinner looks worth every last bite. I love burgers so burgers and fries would definitely be mine!

  2. I feel like a lot of my meals are in the car. Always being on the go I actually keep snacks in my glove box :)

  3. Your husband is so thoughtful! What a great idea. And as far as your cheat dinner, only one question - where's the dessert?!

  5. Just looking at the onions on that burger gives me heartburn! ha ha ha

I try not to eat in my car unless it's a last resort.
