Hi!!! How was your Wednesday??

Last night hubby and I went to his sister's house to see her new baby! What a cutie!! She wanted to celebrate the new baby and Passover so she had me open a bottle of wine. How was I to say no??? :)

She also whipped up a fabulous dinner and asked us to stay. Indian food was on the menu. There was no way I was saying no!

Chicken Tikka Masala from Costco, Trader Joe's brown rice, Trader Joe's lentils and Trader Joe's garlic naan. So good!!! I hadn't had most of it before and I loved everything!!

Breakfast this morning was a Kashi waffle with almond butter and cantaloupe.

After breakfast was Zumba time. You know how I love Zumba!!! Afterwards, I cleaned up and made lunch: turkey and swiss on an Everything Bagel Thin with an apple.

I put spinach, cucumber, tomato and mustard on my sandwich. I like the everything bagel SOOOO much better than the wheat one!

Then it was time to go to my wax/facial appointment. My estitician is so awesome....I love talking with her. She just started P90X so we got to talking about it and I explained to her that Lisa and I don't have a pull up bar so we use resistance bands over her garage door beams instead for the pull ups/chin ups. I told her that I've never been able to do a pull up in my life. She informed me that she has a pull up bar (she works at home) so after my appointment, I decided to use her pull up bar and give it a try. Guess what!?! I CAN DO A PULL UP!!!!! Not only that, I did a second pull up just to make sure I could do it again. I could. Then I tried a chin up. Harder but I did it!!! Then I did a third pull up just for kicks. I was so freaking proud of myself that I couldn't stand it!!!

After my appointment, I munched on a Fiber One bar:

I ran to the grocery store to pick up some last minute items. Hubby was having a friend over so it was time to get cooking when I got home.

I opened a bottle of wine:

I made a batch of Jessica's Bailey's Brownies:

I overcooked them a little but they were pretty good!!! I mean....Bailey's in brownies?? How could that be bad?

I made my favorite stuffed shells, garlic bread from the grocery store, Caesar salad and some amazing Parmesan Roasted Broccoli from the Barefoot Contessa. It was an awesome dish! You must try!! Really....what does Ina Garten do wrong!?!

Off to put the kids to bed....have a great evening!

134.6 yesterday, 135.4 today

Sorry to leave you hanging but I got home way too late last night to post. Let's catch up!

Sunday night I had a snack before bed. Kashi Honey Sunshine cereal and almond milk:

Since we ate so early at Souplantation, I was hungry before I went to bed and I really don't like trying to go to sleep when my stomach is growling.

Yesterday morning's breakfast picture must have been eaten by my camera. It was plain non fat yogurt with Fiber One and my yummy raspberries and blueberries. You've seen it before. :) The kids are on spring break for the next two weeks so no pickups and drop offs for awhile. :)

I went to Lisa's for the Legs & Back video and Ab Ripper video for P90X. That Legs video always makes me sore for a couple of days. Love it! Afterwards, Lisa's friend came over to give us massages!!! Nice treat!!!

After the massage, I got cleaned up, came home and made a quick lunch: hummus wrap with veggies and a big salad:

Then we grabbed the kids and headed to LA. We were going to a Passover dinner with some friends. We first stopped at my parent's house to visit. I had an apple and a babybel cheese:

Then I also had a 100 calorie snack pack of these chocolate mint cookies Lisa gave me to try. Yes, Lisa....they Do taste like thin mints!!!! Holy yum!! I don't remember what they were called....Grasshopper something? My dad came home from work and poured me a glass of wine. :) Then we hopped in the car and went to the Passover dinner. I didn't take any pictures because I felt strange. We were with a couple friends and their families so I didn't want to seem weird. Dinner was really was a buffet and I had a little of everything. I ate too much dessert and gave myself a stomach ache. I've been craving chocolate like nobody's business so I overdid it a bit. Oh well! Life goes on. We didn't get home until 10:30 and had to then put the kids to bed. I was glad when I finally went to sleep!

This morning's breakfast was an Egg Beater omelet with a Laughing Cow cheese wedge, zucchini, spinach, tomatoes and onions. I had some salsa on the side and put Cholula on top:

Then it was off to Great News for a cooking class! I haven't been in a couple of weeks so I was especially excited. Today's class was entitled Easter Brunch.

There were two recipes on the first plate. First was Tarragon Yellow Pepper Egg Scramble on Puffy Potato Pancakes with Chive Creme Fraiche. The second was Roasted Sausage with Grapes and Balsamic:

Wow.....the eggs were perfect and the potato pancake was the best one I'd ever had! They are my hubby's favorite thing ever so I will have to make these soon! I even liked the sausages with the grapes even though I don't like fruit with my food. :)

Next up was Sausage, Roasted Red Pepper and Spinach Torta Rustica:

Heavenly! Perfect brunch casserole type dish.

Next was my personal favorite: Baked Pecan Praline Upside-Down French Toast:

Holy yum.....I felt like it was dancing in my mouth. Ahhhh.........

Last was Tart Cherry Almond Puff Pastry Twist:

This was also amazing. It had marzipan inside and was warm and so comforting. I will definitely make this dish for a brunch or breakfast type item to bring to someone's house!

I ran a couple of errands after class and came home to chill for a bit (let all that food digest!) before it was P90X time. Today's video was Kenpo. We like Kenpo. It makes you feel strong but isn't overly challenging so you don't feel like you're going to die, like in other videos (Plyometrics).
Now I'm just catching up on email/blogs before hubby and I go visit our newest nephew. Have a great evening!

Last night's dinner was the rest of the Beef, Cheese and Noodle Bake. I sauteed up some broccoli slaw and threw in there for some more veggies. It made it look like grass in my food. :)
I had some Special K granola with chocolate almond milk for dessert:

I caught up on American Idol and The Biggest Loser and went to bed.
I tried to make an egg burrito again this morning and succeeded:

Everything fit this time: egg beaters, onions, tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms and spinach all inside a whole wheat tortilla. I took the kids to a birthday party and then went straight to Lisa's for P90X. Today was Yoga day. On the way to her house, I ate an apple and some peanut butter pretzels for some energy.

I came home and had the rest of the chicken lo mein for lunch:

I added some more snap peas to the bottom of the bowl. We hung around the house for awhile and then we met my mother in law at Souplantation. Another one of my sister in laws (I have a bunch) just had a baby so she was here visiting.

I had my standard salad and chili. I did have some ranch dressing today. It's so good there. It's hard to resist. :)

We took the kids to McDonalds so they could play for a bit and then we came home. I have one child in bed and I have to put the other one to bed now so I will be signing off. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Happy weekend everyone!! Last night hubby told me he wanted Asian style noodles. So I found this recipe for Vegetable Lo Mein on that looked promising. I added chicken, left out the honey, and substituted snap peas for the bean sprouts:

Verdict: pretty darn tasty!! Of course we brought out the Sriacha. :) For dessert I had some Honey Graham Bumper cereal and vanilla almond milk:

I was asleep by 9PM last night. Yeah. I'm cool.

Breakfast this morning was supposed to be an egg beater burrito but it turned out more like a egg quesadilla:

My filling was too big to fit like a burrito so I rolled with it. Inside I loaded it with veggies: spinach, onions, mushrooms, zucchini and tomatoes. Every bite received Cholula of course! I did some random stuff around the house and then all of a sudden it was lunch time. I decided last night's lo mein leftovers sounded fab!

And it was!!! After resting a bit, it was P90X time. Shoulders & Arms as well as the Ab video were the videos for today. I dominated both. I cannot believe there are only 2 and a half weeks left!

Afterwards I was ready for a good snack. I decided on Kashi Honey Sunshine & Fiber One cereals with raspberries and blackberries with almond milk:

I spent some more time getting things organized and cleaned up and now I'm enjoying this:

Hubby's gone for the weekend so I'm sure it will be some more leftovers tonight for dinner. See ya!

Last night's Ladies Night at Samurai Japanese Restaurant was excellent! It started out with a lovely glass of Chardonnay:

I ordered the mahi mahi for my entree. So freakin good. I did not order the fried rice although I wanted to so bad. Enough is enough right? :)

This morning's breakfast was so good. I love Costco's produce. I put some of their raspberries and blackberries on some non fat plain yogurt with Fiber One cereal on top. The fruit was so good!

I took the kids to school and went to Lisa's for my most hated P90X video: Plyometrics. Ugh. I survived....not only that but I seemed to have extra energy so we went to Zumba. Great class and I rocked out the whole time! We decided to have lunch at the sports grill there and I ordered my normal tuna salad with balsamic vinegar. I didn't have my camera on me but you've seen it before. :)

I picked the kids up from school and came home and started on the mountain of laundry that has piled up. I couldn't get those berries out of my mind so I had them for a snack along with some strawberries drizzled with agave nectar:

Last night's dinner at Donovan's Steakhouse was really good! We got there before our friends so I ordered a glass of Merlot. When we were seated, the hubby ordered a bottle of cab for the table. Double fisting it...yeah!

I had a piece of their warm bread with butter. I could not resist. It was especially tasty! I had the chopped salad with no hearts of palm (what the heck are those anyway?) and no bacon with their balsamic vinaigrette dressing:

Loved it! For my entree I had the salmon with extra veggies instead of potatoes. Check out their "extra" veggies:

Wow...they really went overboard with the veggies huh? :) I had some raspberry sorbet for dessert:

Sorry about the dark tasted fabulous! I did steal a couple of bites of hubby's cheesecake. Much more fabulous. :)

This morning's breakfast was an egg beater sammie on a toasted sandwich thin with a slice of low fat swiss cheese and a side of cantaloupe:

I took my mother in law to the train station, then the kids to school and then it was Costco time!
I didn't get anything new and exciting but these somehow made their way into my cart:

I have tried and tried not to re-purchase these things but I couldn't hold out any longer. Plus, I'm actually starting to believe that they help me lose weight. :) When I was eating them, I lost the most weight....really! :) So of course I had a handful when I got home.
Then it was off to Lisa's for the Chest & Back video as well as the Ab "Crapper" video for P90X. I was rocking out on the push ups I must say. I bet my upper body will be sore tomorrow!

Lunch time rolled around and I went with a wrap with hummus, spinach, red bell pepper, and shredded carrots:

Amazing. I love hummus.

So now I need to pay bills and do some boring stuff. I have Ladies Night tonight so I'll need to get dressed for that in a little bit. Yes...another restaurant! Ugh....I'm excited about tonight but I need to stop eating out for awhile and get back into gear. I think this is the last dinner out I have for awhile so that's good. Last night's dinner was leftovers I pulled out of the freezer. It was Beef, Cheese and Noodle Bake from Cooking Light, I believe. I paired it with some veggies: zucchini, onions, garlic, red bell peppers and mushrooms:

With some Cholula on top, it was excellent! For dessert I had a bowl of chocolate cheerios with almond milk:

Breakfast was Kashi Honey Sunshine & Fiber One cereals with almond milk and strawberries:

I read about adding Fiber One to your other cereals to bulk them up and add fiber from And what a great idea it was!

I took the kids to school and went to Zumba. Oh Zumba, how I've missed you!! It was a great class as usual....except for the lady that kept changing her spot after every song. Then she kept putting her water bottle down in a different place each time and always couldn't find it. I guess there's always one of those. :)

I came home and quickly got cleaned up, had a quick snack of Progresso Light soup and wheat toast:

Then it was time to head over to my daughter's school for her Passover function. Afterwards I went to Subway for lunch. I decided to keep my points low (we are going out to dinner tonight) so I went with a veggie delight on wheat:

It was good! Sometimes I feel that I can't taste the turkey in it so why bother? I'm just curious how long it will keep me full without the protein. Only time will tell....

I picked up the kids from school and we came home. My mother in law is here visiting so I probably should wrap this up and go hang out. Peace out.

When I last left you yesterday it was lunch time. I decided to have something easy: Amy's Pea Soup:

After lunch I went to pick up my son from school. I took him to McDonalds to play while waiting for my daughter to get out of school. Once I picked her up, we came home and I had a snack:

Gala apple with cinnamon. I went to Trader Joe's to load up on groceries for the week. When I came home I had some Progresso Light soup and a slice of light wheat toast:

I chilled out for a bit until it was time to get ready for dinner with my sister in law. While getting ready I had one of these bad boys:

These new one point Fiber One bars are pretty yummy. I left to pick up my sister in law and we headed over to The Fish Market. I had never been so I was excited. I started with a glass of Cabernet:

Then it was a mixed green salad with tomatoes and little shrimp. I used balsamic vinegar for my dressing:

For my entree I ordered grilled ahi tuna with double veggies:

It was excellent!!! We had a great time and I ate so few points that I had some leftover for Special K granola with almond milk and dried cranberries when I got home:

This morning I didn't eat breakfast because I had to have some blood work done from my recent doctor appointment. Afterwards I went to Starbucks for a skinny vanilla latte. I brought along an apple to eat with it:

I did get my free pastry for Free Pastry Day but I brought it home to the kids. I sat and read for awhile until it was time to head over to the school to help out with my son's Passover Seder. On the way I had some cantaloupe:
After the preschool program, I went to go pick up my daughter and had this Flat Out wrap with Better N Peanut Butter on the way:

I took her to McDonalds (again!) to play until it was time to pick up my son. My kids have crazy school schedules. :) I had a small yogurt parfait:

I picked up my son and we came home. I threw my workout clothes on and went over to Lisa's house for the Kenpo video for P90X. Good calorie burn today! Now I'm just chilling waiting to get dinner going. Have a great night!
