Dancing the Night Away!

The wedding last night was a blast! I'm so exhausted but I had the best time. This is going to be a long post so bear with me. :)

Yesterday I met some friends for lunch at the pool restaurant while hubby did the groomsman thing (picture taking, etc). I had two glasses of Chardonnay during lunch:

We had nachos to share:

I ordered the California roll. It was really delicious!

Then I went back to my room to get ready for the wedding. The wedding started at 5PM and it was outside over looking the ocean. It was a beautiful wedding and Jaime looked stunning!

After the ceremony, we went to the cocktail hour and were greeted with this gorgeous photo of the bride and groom:

I had another glass of Chardonnay during the cocktail hour. I didn't have any of the passed appetizers because I went straight for the sushi table. Sorry...no picture! Too hard to hold the camera and the wine and use chopsticks. :) I did manage to have someone snap a picture my husband and I:

Then we all entered the ballroom for the reception. The room was decorated so beautifully! As you entered, you could see the amazing wedding cake:

Check out Dan & Jaime's special table:

Even the chairs were stunning:

The flower arrangements on each  table were breathtaking:

Here I am with two of my friends, Kristy and Stacey:

The bride and groom's first dance:

I spent most of the night on the dance floor. Hubby joined me a few times. :)

Besides the gorgeous flowers, there were tons of candles on each table:

....and an ice sculpture at the bar:

Our first course was tomato bisque, grilled cheese sandwiches and a salad of tomatoes, cucumber, red onion and avocado:

I cleaned my plate. Loved it! My entree was Filet Mignon with cheese potatoes and veggies. I actually ordered the fish but beef came instead. It didn't really matter...I didn't each much of it because I was saving myself for In N Out burger. :)

After dinner, I rolled with a vodka cranberry. I had had enough wine. (Crazy to say!!!)

Then someone suggested shots. Ok.....I went with tequila...it's the only shot I like.

Then the moment I was waiting for finally arrived....

A double double from In N Out. I ate every glorious bite.

Then we danced the night away! I hoped I burned off my In N Out calories!! :)

Jaime and I:

The hubby and some of his fraternity brothers:

Eventually the wedding ended and we all made our way to the bride & groom's suite for the after party. There were tons of drinks and food:

I had a couple of hot wings and a couple sips of champagne. I think I had had enough at that point. :) My room was close by so I decided to change. Much better!

I think we went to bed at 3AM. That is WAY past my bedtime for sure. I woke up tired this morning for sure. We went to the brunch hosted by Dan and Jaime and all I could think about was eggs and cheese. Thank goodness there was an omelet man to help me out in that department!

Egg Beater omelet with all the fixins!!! Of course I needed some carbs too!

Then we went back to the room, packed up and drove home. The kiddos were super excited to see us and we took them swimming for a bit.

When dinner time rolled around we decided to take the kids to Pei Wei. My standard kid's sized honey seared shrimp with brown rice and veggies:

Then we went over to Sweet Things for some frozen yogurt:

And that is it folks. I'm super exhausted, bloated and feel like a whale overall. I hope my eyes don't pop out of my face when I step on the scale tomorrow morning. Yikes.

What was the best thing you ate over this Labor Day weekend? In N Out burger for sure!
