143.8…Impromptu Dinner

I didn’t end up at the mall last night after I dropped my daughter off at the event at her preschool. My friend called me and invited me to join her and her husband at Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza for dinner. I love Sammy’s so it was a no brainer!

We shared the Lebni: Mediterranean Soft Cheese with Exotic Spices, Tomato, Olive Oil and Grilled Herb Flat Bread.

They basically empty their spice cabinet on some soft cheese and you eat it with this delicious bread. Fabulous.

It is even more fabulous when enjoyed with a glass of wine!

I ordered my favorite salad: Chopped Chicken (lettuce, tomato, mozzarella, basil, oven roasted tomatoes in a red wine vinaigrette dressing).

I picked up my daughter and we came home and went to bed.

Even though the kids didn’t have school today, they still felt the need to wake up early. Oh well…I guess it gives me a head start on my day right?

For breakfast I toasted a whole wheat English muffin and added some Teddie peanut butter. I ate some cantaloupe as well.

I went to Cardio Muscle class, got my nails done and got my knives sharpened. Everyone should do that before Thanksgiving. Makes cutting the turkey a whole lot easier!

I came home, got the piles of laundry started and made lunch.

Greek salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, feta, oregano, red wine vinegar and olive oil) plus some hummus and pita chips.

On Twitter today, I saw that Beachbody is releasing P90X2 soon! As some of you know, I completed P90X last year with my friend Lisa and loved the results. Since then I’ve run a half marathon and put a few pounds back on. I’d love to get back into P90X shape! While looking on Beachbody’s website to find out more information, I see that they are also coming out with a Les Mills Pump Workout. It’s based on the Body Pump available in some gyms but sadly, not mine. I’ve been interested in trying Body Pump and maybe this is the way to do it! Thoughts?

Have you ever tried a Body Pump class?

Do you do workout videos at home?

  1. I love bodypump, but I feel like its a total you-need-to-be-in-a-group-setting to push yourself sort of class. I've always wanted to try p90x, but I'm hesitant to put up the $$ for it -- was it worth it? And...I also love Physique 57 dvds -- it doesn't really burn while you do it, but then the next day you really feel it.

  2. @Elise
My friend had the DVD's so we borrowed them. I would say it's worth it if you plan to really stick to it.
