142.6…Cookie Exchange Extravaganza
Let’s talk cookies. I have never seen as many cookies as I did yesterday at my friend Cathi’s Cookie Exchange party.
All my best girlfriends were there and we had a blast!
Best friends, cookies and champagne! Does it get any better than this!?!
There were an abundance of appetizers:
I brought Cookie Dough Truffles (recipe to come tomorrow):
Check out all the gorgeous cookies that everyone brought:
Then came the tough job of tasting all of them!
The display of cookies was memorizing!
Then it was time to collect all the cookies!
The “take home” box:
Anyone want to help me with these???
The rest of the afternoon was spent in a cookie coma. There was no way I was going to cook dinner so we decided to meet some friends at our club.
I enjoyed a glass of wine:
I split a “Wedge” salad with my husband:
Sundays at our club are “Slider Sundays”. You get two pick two different kinds of sliders. I choose the Angus Beef Slider and the Fried Cod slider.
Both were delicious!
This morning’s breakfast was an egg beater sandwich on a toasted English muffin with a Laughing Cow cheese wedge and an apple.
I went to Cardio Muscle class, then to Trader Joe’s and Ralph’s grocery stores. Wow….what a madhouse the stores were today! I’m glad all my Thanksgiving shopping is done! On the way home, I picked up a roast beef sandwich from Submarina for lunch.
I picked up my daughter from school and came home. I need to pick up my son from school and make a few things to bring over to my friend’s house for dinner tonight. It’s HOT WING night!!!!
Are you hosting Thanksgiving or attending?
What’s your LEAST favorite dish at Thanksgiving?
Holy cookies...I must say your truffles are the most impressive!ReplyDelete
My friends and I do the same thing! Although ours isn't for 2 more weeks - cookie coma indeed!ReplyDelete
