My first post.

What direction do I want to take my blog? hmmmmm.....

Facts: I like to eat.... a lot. I also like to work out. Finding a balance is tough but I work on it every day.....you'd think I'd have it mastered by now. Not quite but I'm getting there!

So I like to weigh myself everyday. Some say that is obsessive. Yes, it is. But it's the only way I can stay accountable to myself. I can take ahold of a problem before it becomes one.

I seem to always be on some sort of weight loss journey. My latest journey was to weigh 135 lbs by my brother's wedding (which is next Saturday). As you can see from my title, I'm almost there. I had 10 to lose and I started about 9 or 10 weeks ago.

I decided to take the Weight Watcher train for this journey. I had done it once before and it worked really well for me. My husband and I are doing it together and it actually has been fun! (as much fun as "dieting" can be).

So.....onto today's details:

Breakfast was a lovely light multi-grain english muffin with 1 Tbsp almond butter (an obsession) with a half cup of strawberries.

Went to spin class for 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of abs.

Hubby and I went to lunch at Chart House. What a beautiful spot! Chopped salad with balsamic vinegar to start and seared ahi and veggies to follow. Nam Nam

Right now I'm enjoyed a refreshing tonic water with lemon while watching cartoons with my son.
Enjoy your day!

  1. Hi Melissa,

Thank you for visiting my blog today, and congrats for starting your blog.

I read somewhere that dieters that weigh themselves everyday tend to stick to their plans and lose more weight than people that don't weigh daily.

  3. I am beyond bummed that I got so carried away with my day that I did not get to be your first follower. I guess I will have to settle with being your biggest fan! I am beyond proud of you for FINALLY starting your blog...you will be amazed at how cathartic blogging is! It truly is cheaper than therapy!
FYI, I also weigh myself daily...I watched the numbers go up and up and...well, inspired by you, I have taken to a new diet, and it seems to be working! Love ya!!!
