On my way back down......

So today started out with a nice three mile run earlier in the AM......it was perfect weather for running...high 60's and foggy. It felt great! Except now my quads are starting to really hurt from those walking lunges yesterday coupled with my run today. Hot bath? Or straight to bed? I think the bed is going to win.

I was planning on going to a late breakfast with a friend so I didn't want to eat too much but I needed something to hold me over. I opted for the new Fiber One yogurt that has zero points per little cup. I have the key lime pie flavor and it's waaaaaaaay too sweet for me. I doubt I'll repurchase. I put my half cup of fiber one cereal on it, topped with a half cup strawberries for a nice zero point breakfast.

I went to Champagne Bakery to meet my friend for a late breakfast before we saw the Julie & Julia movie. First of all, I love the Champagne Bakery....everything is so yummy and fresh! My eyes were popping out at all the lovely pastries and desserts in their little glass window but I avoided them for an egg white omelet (hold the cheese) with veggies, a fruit cup and a multi grain baguette. It was an excellent choice if I do say so myself.

Onto the movie.....it was Fabulous!!!! I never wanted it to end. I felt right at home watching a movie about cooking and blogging. Now, if I could just become as famous as either one of those two ladies......

Went to Trader Joes afterwards to pick up some staples and was famished by the time I got home. I had a few minutes before I had to take the kids to a birthday party so I decided to have a filling, nutritious snack before I would be bombarded by pizza and cake. I had one of my favorite go to snacks: a flat out wrap (love these.....my mother in law calls them "cardboard" but I politely disagree), two tablespoons of my favorite store bought hummus (Trader Joes Mediterranean Style Hummus), some cucumber, tomato and spinach. Wrap it up and voila! Yum for only two points.

Yes, I avoided the pizza and cake. Go me!!!

Dinner was a repeat of last night. Hubby is out of town so I had me some leftover spaghetti and marinara. Whipped up some more zucchini, mushrooms and spinach to throw on top.

I just finished paying bills and entered all my points in for the day and realized that I have ELEVEN points left......huh!?! Now, normally I would just use those on wine and peanut butter.....but since I am trying to get the wine OUT of my system right now, I opted for peanut butter. A peanut butter sandwich to be exact. Now I have 5.5 pts left and it's almost 10PM. Weight Watchers says you need to eat all your daily points. I'm not hungry. Decisions, Decisions.

Remind me of this day the next time I run out of points by 2 in the afternoon and have to eat vegetables and zero point bread for the rest of the day.

  1. Yeah, I, too, avoided the pizza and cupcakes at the party and only ate cantaloupe! We did it!!! I am officially down 10 lbs. as of today (Thursday)!

Have fun in Palm Springs, and be careful at that Cheesecake Factory...I LOVE their cheesecake...don't know if I would have the willpower to hold out!
