I feel better today but still sluggish and bloated. Yuck. After a day of healthy eating, I am feeling much more like myself again!
Breakfast was a light multi grain English muffin with a tablespoon of almond butter and a half cup of strawberries. I went to Step and Sculpt and felt great afterwards. I love how I feel after a good workout.
Today was basically a hang out at home kind of day. I paid bills and put laundry away and got organized. Lunch was a "leftover salad." I put leftover pollo asado chicken, leftover bean and corn salad and tons of veggies onto of a bed of salad greens with salsa for the dressing. It was really good!
While working on the computer I had an apple for a snack. Hubby had the great idea of going out to dinner just the two of us so I saved up the rest of the day's points for one of my favorite restaurants.....Firenze! YUM! I split a chopped Caesar salad with the hubbs and then I had the calamari marinara (extra spicy). Heaven.
Well, that's about it ladies and gentlemen. I need another good night of sleep so hopefully I'll feel 100% tomorrow.

We picked up bagels for breakfast and I had a cinnamon raisin one with almond butter. I haven't had a bagel in forever! It was soooo good. I had a cup of coffee and a half cup of strawberries with it.
We hung around the house while the hubbies golfed. When they came home the kids went swimming and we bbq'd burgers and sausages. We had cheeseburgers and habanero chile turkey sausages (they were so good). Our guests made a really nice Ina Garten recipe for a tomato feta salad. We opened up some wine and had it with lunch too.
I might have had a crack brownie after lunch as well. We'll just move on straight to dinner because we really didn't do much else the rest of the day. Dinner was pretty healthy and super yummy:
- BBQ Chicken Kabobs
- Orzo with a pesto butter
- the rest of the tomato feta salad
Then things got crazy at dessert. I made these raspberry cheesecake bars that are the bomb. We all had one of those. Then because they are addictive like crack, we all had another crack brownie....with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. And the wine flowed all day. Debauchery at it's finest. Therefore I think I will not weigh myself today (too scared) and just drink lots of water. Our guests are leaving today so I need to get back to reality fast.
I'd like to try and fit in a workout today. Hubby's got lots going on so we'll see. I also feel like I've been hit by a truck (my son decided it was appropriate to wake up at 5:30Am this morning) so we'll see what happens.
Enjoy your day!

Breakfast was a light multi grain English muffin with a tablespoon of Barney Butter and a half cup of strawberries.
I went to Step and Sculpt this morning and we did tons of cardio and crazy inner thigh exercises. Them legs were burnin'!!!!
I had a Kashi granola bar afterwards and went to get my nails done and some more grocery shopping before our weekend guests arrived.
When our guests arrived we ordered pizza from Leucadia pizza (really good pizza). I had two slices of veggie pizza and some Caesar salad. Then I began getting all the food ready for dinner. We had:
- My brother's famous Pollo Asado tacos
- Cilantro Rice
- Corn & Bean Salad
- Homemade guacamole
- Chile corn muffins (they didn't turn out very good)
- Spicy cheese dip and chips
- Grilled onions
- Crack brownies (see earlier posts) and S'mores
- Lots of wine and champagne
Needless to say, I'm full. But it was sooooo good...such a nice treat! The kids are in bed, the dishes are washed and I'm ready to call it a night!!!
Thursday, August 27, 2009
We went to Sbicca Bistro in Del Mar. It was such a nice, warm Southern California evening and it was perfect for sitting outside which we did on their upstairs outdoor patio. I've eaten there twice before and I enjoyed it both times. I started with a glass of chardonnay and the Sesame Ahi Tuna Avocado Tartar. Very good!!!! For my entree I had the Blackened Alaskan Halibut with a second glass of chardonnay. I really enjoyed my meal! And....NO DESSERT!!!! WOW! Oh, I did have one small piece of bread before my appetizer came because I was starving!! It was a nice evening catching up with my friends and enjoying a nice, relaxing meal.
So I was surprised my weight was a little higher this morning but I'm sure I consumed more sodium last night than usual. That's ok.....I call it "junk weight."
Breakfast was a slice of Ezekiel toast with a tablespoon of Barney Butter and a half cup of strawberries. I went to spin class where we did about 45 minutes of spinning and 15 minutes of upper body/abs.
Next was off to my monthly microdermabrasian and wax appointment. I had to pack my lunch because there wasn't enough time to eat at home. I had a flat out wrap with two tablespoons of Better'N Peanut Butter on it. This stuff is a little too sweet for me but it's so much lower in fat and calories than regular peanut butter. It helps with the peanut butter craving without expending tons of extra points. With the wrap I also had an apple.
I really like going to the micro/wax appointment because the girl who owns the place is such a hoot!! I enjoy talking, complaining and laughing with her....it helps the time fly when you have hot wax being ripped off your skin. :) She also does the best job on the planet so if you're ever in San Diego and need a good wax, facial, etc......let me know....I'll hook you up!!
Afterwards I went to Golden Spoon for some frozen yogurt. I love me my frozen yogurt. I had a small half cake batter, half chocolate malt. Heaven.
We have weekend guests coming to stay with us (have I mentioned this?) so I wanted to get some stuff ready so I came home and cooked for awhile. I made some cheddar bear bread (you must try this!), raspberry cheesecake bars, cinnamon honey butter (for breakfast on some of the breads I already made), pesto butter (to go on an orzo I'll be making and on a baguette) and cut up some of the ingredients for guacamole and pollo asado tacos. I love doing things ahead and being organized. :)
I had a meeting for my kid's school tonight so dinner was quick: Trader Joe's Orange Chicken (so freakin good) with brown rice and broccoli. Such an easy, healthy, quick meal.
At my meeting a had a few bites of different things including a mini snicker doodle cupcake (yum!). My weigh in is tomorrow and I actually have tons of activity points left so I thought I'd splurge on a few little goodies...hopefully it won't reflect in my weight tomorrow.
Over and out.
Wednesday, August 26, 2009
Another night of fabulous sleep.....ahhhhh.....I'm such a spoiled girl. Breakfast was the same as yesterday. I need to eat low points all day because I'd like to splurge a little at dinner tonight. So that breakfast was 2 points and CRAZY filling.
The cooking school that I attend had a tour today of the Asian grocery store 99 Ranch. That place was crazy (in a good way)! I saw so many types of fruits and vegetables that I had never heard of!!! I've been meaning to go there and was glad to have a tour so I know more about what is offered and where everything is located there.
Lunch was Subway 6 inch turkey on wheat with everything (even banana peppers and jalapenos) except olives. I really do like this sandwich but it doesn't keep me full for long (well...what does really?). Said sandwich was 5 points.
I did some grocery shopping to get ready for some weekend guests and then hit the gym. Ran a quick mile on the treadmill, did biceps and triceps and then hopped on the elliptical for 15 minutes. Next was shoulders and back and a final 15 minutes on the bike. Finished it all off with chest and abs.
Came home and had some Progresso Light zero point soup. The soup is ok.....but for zero points I cannot complain.
About to pop in the shower to get ready for tonight. Let's hope I can avoid dessert. Fingers crossed!
Tuesday, August 25, 2009
Breakfast was Fage 0% with a half cup of fiber one and a half cup of strawberries. On my way to cooking class this morning I stopped by Starbucks and got my favorite: tall, double, skinny vanilla latte.
Cooking class was all about fish. I love fish! Hubby doesn't like fish so I don't get to cook it that often but it's always nice having good recipes for it anyway. So that was lunch....little bits of the five recipes that were prepared today. Oh and two glasses of wine. :)
Our gym is closed on Tuesdays so I always run/walk outside. It was so stickin hot today so I waited until about 5:30 to go. It was still hot. There's a crazy hill in my neighborhood that I like to walk up so I did that and then ran about one and a half miles and then walked the last mile and a half home. I'm glad I pushed myself to do it.
Dinner was a repeat from Sunday night: Chicken meatballs and whole wheat spaghetti with tons of veggies (zucchini, onions and mushrooms). It hit the spot. I'm out of points for the day so no dessert but that's ok.....I'm not hankering for anything sweet fortunately.
Monday, August 24, 2009
My morning started off with the exact same breakfast I had yesterday. I guess I'm boring. You know what? I wish I liked oatmeal. I see it all over the bloggy world and I see people mixing almond butter and peanut butter in it and that gets me excited....but the mushy taste.... I don't know if I can get past that. Is there a food that you wished you like?
Monday morning Step and Sculpt class was in full effect this morning. Hopefully the quads won't hurt as much as last week!
Lunch was a Morningstar Farms black bean burger (these are good!) on a sandwich thin loaded with onions, tomatoes, lettuce, mustard and ketchup. On the side was a big salad with romaine, tomatoes, onions, cucumber and little olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
I finally made it to Target, Costco and the grocery store today. I sampled a couple of things at Costco....nothing too exciting.
I had a slice of light wheat toast with a laughing cow cheese on top for a snack when I got home.
Hubby is out of town so normally I'd have some sort of frozen leftovers for dinner but tonight was different. I hadn't made anything Indian in awhile so I decided to try a couple of recipes sitting in my ever expanding recipe binder. First recipe was for Ground Beef Curry. I have no idea where I got the recipe but it was very good. The second recipe was for Gobi Aloo (Indian Style Cauliflower and Potatoes) which I found on allrecipes.com. It took way longer to cook that stated and it was just ok. I ate both with some brown rice. I put all the leftovers in the freezer to try again some other night. Sometimes I've found that with the Indian recipes I make, they actually taste better the second time around.....so I'll give the cauliflower recipe another shot.
With two points left I'll be sure to have a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich after the kids go to bed. I plan to lay in bed and read tonight quietly by myself. Ahhhhhhhh......
I love to read....any good recommendations?

So last night my friend Lisa came over and watched my kids because I could not find a sitter at the last minute. Shocker! Have I ever mentioned that Lisa is the most beautiful, wonderful, talented, amazing person I know!!!! Seriously, thank you Lisa!!! Because of Lisa I was able to consume many points worth of sushi. Also, it is possible there were a couple glasses of this:
This is a picture from my brother's wedding weekend but coincidentally, I was wearing the same top last night. But I digress....
We went to Zenbu Sushi in La Jolla. It is the third time I've been and it's sooooo good!!! I love going to sushi with a big group of people because you can share and try everything. I had a little bit of several different rolls and I split a chocolate lava cake with the hubby. It was soooo good. I was a happy camper.
So today started out with coffee (with the same unsweetened vanilla almond milk and sugar free vanilla syrup) and a slice of Ezekiel toast with Barney Butter and a half cup of cantaloupe. Now, if you are asking....."What is Barney Butter?" I shall tell you. It is a brand of almond butter that is pure food-gasmic. Amazon is running on sale on it right now......it isn't cheap. It's $9 at Henry's. Click here and you can get 20% all Barney Butter with the code: Barney22. It comes in smooth and crunchy. Both are equally good.
I worked on putting the kids' artwork from the past school year in scrapbooks all day. If I keep this up I'll have to buy one of those Pods things to hold all of these scrapbooks by the time they graduate elementary school. But I will keep it up because I'm just good like that. :)
Lunch was a sodium fest: zero point Progresso light soup and a Lean Cuisine flat bread thingy. It was pretty decent. I really need to go to the grocery store so there were not a lot of options.
Sunday is usually my day off from the gym so I didn't exercise. I took a nap instead. The hubby took our son to Disneyland to meet up with my mother in law and a bunch of his cousins. My daughter took a nap so I did too! Wow......naps are good things!
I have tons of leftovers all the time in the freezer so I pulled out some chicken meatballs and marinara (Ellie Krieger's recipe from her "The Food You Crave" cookbook) and put it over some whole wheat spaghetti and zucchini, onions, bell peppers and garlic. Excellent. Healthy and delicious!!! Paired with a glass of red wine, it was a great meal!
I've got four points left for dessert. I think I'll get the little lady off to bed and enjoy something sweet.
Saturday, August 22, 2009
After a few cups of coffee (with almond milk and sugar free vanilla syrup), the morning started out with a light multi grain english muffin with a tablespoon of cashew butter and a half cup of strawberries.
I went to spinning class this morning. I spun my butt off (hopefully literally). Ended the workout with a little upper body weights and some abs. Then my sweaty self took a nice long shower.....ahhhhhhh......
Lunch was tuna mixed with celery, green bell pepper, red onion, pickles, a little light mayo, Dijonaisse, garlic salt and paprika. Oh yeah.
So right now I'm trying to find a babysitter for tonight. Kind of a tough task trying to find a sitter for a Saturday night when you start calling at 2PM the same day. The brother in law is in town last minute and wants us to have dinner with him and his wife. So we'll see.
I'm hungry again. What else is new? But if I'm going out to dinner, I need to save all points possible. What is a hungry girl to do!?!
Friday, August 21, 2009
Wednesday night's dinner was Hometown Buffet......yes I know what you're thinking.....why would I ever eat there??? We had six kids with us and majority wanted a buffet. So I walked in feeling ready to make healthful choices but soon realized those were few and far between. So I had little bits of some healthy and unhealthy things and was doing alright until dessert. You see, I'm a sucker for chocolate. They had a lava cake sort of thing...so I HAD to have some of that with the vanilla soft serve on top. That did it.....then I felt sick. BOO!!!!!!
Thursday morning's breakfast was healthy and SOOOOO good! I had the best egg white omelet ever!!! It was loaded with veggies with a side of tomato slices and a slice of whole wheat toast. Then a mimosa or two (3?) happened. I would have had just one but I was able to get free refills from Jose the waiter....so who could say no???
It was a late breakfast so we didn't eat lunch. I had a little bit of fruit and a brownie that my mother in law made. You see, her brownies are the best brownies ever but they are evil...they force you to eat them. You have no willpower. That's why they are not allowed in my home. Evil little suckers.
Dinner was at a Mexican restaurant called Las Cansuelas Nuevas. I had a few chips and salsa and then two grilled fish tacos on corn tortillas. I had a lovely glass of chardonnay. And then when we got to the hotel, it's possible I had some more brownies.
Today I went straight to the gym and ran for 30 minutes. It's so hot in Palm Springs that it drains all your energy. If you don't work out in the morning you might as well forget it. I felt so good afterwards. We all went for an early lunch to Ruby's Diner. I had good intentions but I decided to have my last splurge before coming back to reality. I had a turkey burger on whole wheat bun with guacamole and swiss cheese and some fries. So that's the damage from the last two days. What will the scale say tomorrow? Be afraid.....be very afraid!!! :)
Wednesday, August 19, 2009
Breakfast was a light multi grain english muffin with a tablespoon of almond butter and a half cup of strawberries with a cup of green tea.
I went to spin class....we did about 40 minutes of spin and 20 minutes of upper body and abs. My quads are still killing me so we skipped legs. I always feel glorious when completely drenched in sweat!
Lunch was the leftover Trader Joes multi grain lasagna with a ton of spinach, mushrooms and zucchini thrown on top. Yum.
We are leaving shortly to take the family to Palm Springs for a couple of days so don't miss me too much! I'm bringing the gym clothes and WILL workout while I'm gone. We are staying across the street from a Cheesecake Factory so expect to see a Herb Crusted Salmon Salad in a post to come!!
Tuesday, August 18, 2009
So today started out with a nice three mile run earlier in the AM......it was perfect weather for running...high 60's and foggy. It felt great! Except now my quads are starting to really hurt from those walking lunges yesterday coupled with my run today. Hot bath? Or straight to bed? I think the bed is going to win.
I was planning on going to a late breakfast with a friend so I didn't want to eat too much but I needed something to hold me over. I opted for the new Fiber One yogurt that has zero points per little cup. I have the key lime pie flavor and it's waaaaaaaay too sweet for me. I doubt I'll repurchase. I put my half cup of fiber one cereal on it, topped with a half cup strawberries for a nice zero point breakfast.
I went to Champagne Bakery to meet my friend for a late breakfast before we saw the Julie & Julia movie. First of all, I love the Champagne Bakery....everything is so yummy and fresh! My eyes were popping out at all the lovely pastries and desserts in their little glass window but I avoided them for an egg white omelet (hold the cheese) with veggies, a fruit cup and a multi grain baguette. It was an excellent choice if I do say so myself.
Onto the movie.....it was Fabulous!!!! I never wanted it to end. I felt right at home watching a movie about cooking and blogging. Now, if I could just become as famous as either one of those two ladies......
Went to Trader Joes afterwards to pick up some staples and was famished by the time I got home. I had a few minutes before I had to take the kids to a birthday party so I decided to have a filling, nutritious snack before I would be bombarded by pizza and cake. I had one of my favorite go to snacks: a flat out wrap (love these.....my mother in law calls them "cardboard" but I politely disagree), two tablespoons of my favorite store bought hummus (Trader Joes Mediterranean Style Hummus), some cucumber, tomato and spinach. Wrap it up and voila! Yum for only two points.
Yes, I avoided the pizza and cake. Go me!!!
Dinner was a repeat of last night. Hubby is out of town so I had me some leftover spaghetti and marinara. Whipped up some more zucchini, mushrooms and spinach to throw on top.
I just finished paying bills and entered all my points in for the day and realized that I have ELEVEN points left......huh!?! Now, normally I would just use those on wine and peanut butter.....but since I am trying to get the wine OUT of my system right now, I opted for peanut butter. A peanut butter sandwich to be exact. Now I have 5.5 pts left and it's almost 10PM. Weight Watchers says you need to eat all your daily points. I'm not hungry. Decisions, Decisions.
Remind me of this day the next time I run out of points by 2 in the afternoon and have to eat vegetables and zero point bread for the rest of the day.
Monday, August 17, 2009
Lunch was at Poseidon Restaurant in Del Mar. Such a perfect day to sit by the water! The hubby, kids and my mother in law all enjoyed a relaxing lunch by the beach. I had a blackened mahi mahi with extra veggies. Very good indeed!!! With that, I had about four glasses of iced tea. Mmmmmmm
We had some more family over for dinner and since I hadn't been to the grocery store since before our trip, I had to get creative. I made some home made marinara sauce (I'll have to post the recipe soon.....it's so simple and good!), whole wheat spaghetti, some zucchini and mushrooms and I heated up some Trader Joe's Roasted Vegetable Lasagna. I've never had the lasagna before....it was pretty good. The lasagna noodles were multi-grain.....it definitely tasted healthy which I like. I had enough points left over for a nice vanilla Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich with three tablespoons of light hot fudge on top. Heaven.
Good night one and all!
So this week will be "detox" week. This morning I had my beloved Fage 0% yogurt with fiber one and blackberries and strawberries. Oh and some coffee. The coffee was necessary. I put a little unsweetened vanilla almond milk and some sugar free vanilla syrup in it. I think I've had about a liter of water so far.
I went to my Monday morning usual: Step and Sculpt. I needed that. My body started to protest during walking lunges (with 30 pounds of weights on my shoulders) but my mind won. I felt glorious afterwards!
My mother in law is coming over and we are going to take the kids to feed the ducks and have lunch by the beach. Lettuce please. Oh and some water too. :)
Thursday, August 13, 2009
Eating has been under control so far. Crazy Italian dinner tonight....can't wait.
I thought about going to the gym this morning but Starbucks happened instead. They have this new Greek yogurt parfait thing with honey and granola that was off the hook. Only 290 calories and it was filling and yummy. That paired with a skinny vanilla latte made a nice breakfast. Lunch was with my brother and some friends. I had a tomato, mozzarella sandwich with pesto and balsamic marinated onions with a side salad. Pretty good!
Ok peeps....I'm out.
Monday, August 10, 2009
I didn't sleep so well last night...I was freezing! It makes no sense being summer in Southern Cali and all but who knows. I had to get up in the middle of the night to put on my winter pj's. Anyhoo.......
This morning's breakfast was different. Plain nonfat yogurt with a little sugar free strawberry jam mixed in with a half cup of fiber one and some strawberries and blackberries. By the way, Costco sells the BEST blackberries EVER. This is such a filling breakfast!!!! That fiber one stuff is nuts.
Step N Sculpt was a sweaty good time! Went with the hubby to Subway for lunch. Had me my 6 inch turkey on wheat with all the fixins and extra mustard. Mmmmmmm
Last minute I decided to ride along with the hubby and some friends on the golf course. What a glorious day!!! I had a fiber one bar (I think I'm good on fiber for the day) before our friends arrived. Then I proceeded to drink 3/4 of a bottle of wine on the course. I think I see a wine trend here this week.....
We went to dinner at my very favorite restaurant in San Diego: Firenze. OMG!!!! Everything there is soooooo good! I ended up splitting the chopped Caesar salad with the hubby and then had the calamari marinara which is off the hook good!!!! Some more red wine and my day was complete.
Trying to drink lots of water now to hopefully curb the bloat that will be on my scale tomorrow morning. A little scared because today was the last day I can work out this week. I'm leaving in a couple of day for my bro's wedding in Philly. It's going to be an eating bonanza. I just hope I can control myself appropriately. ;)
Sunday, August 9, 2009
Breakfast was the usual. We had a four year old's birthday party to go to this morning. I ate super healthy: tomato/onion/cucumber salad, veggies and hummus and a little penne with spicy marinara sauce. I avoided the greasy pizza and frosting abundant cupcakes. The cupcakes were hard. I love me my desserts. And cupcakes?????? OH, the glory of them!! Alas, none were eaten. Whew.......
Moving on to the afternoon when some family came over for a BBQ. We had leftovers from last night....pollo asado tacos and all the works. Yes, more wine was had but overall....another super healthy meal. Yeah me!! Crack brownies were avoided again.
Chugging the H2O right now and watching cartoons with the kids. I'm out.
Saturday, August 8, 2009
So breakfast was the usual. We had company for a late lunch so I snacked on some Progresso light soup before they came over. Usually Saturday mornings entail Spinning class but Hubby decided to golf so the class was a no-go. :( I will go to the gym tomorrow or all hell to pay! :)
We decided to do BBQ: my brother's recipe for Pollo Asado tacos. Basically you take two corn tortillas (that have been heated up with a little oil) and you add some pollo asado, diced white onion, cilantro and Cholula (juice of the Gods) and Voila! Heaven. On the side, some grilled corn, pinto beans and my famous guacamole (Ina Garten's recipe just spiced up a little). Then the best part was dessert....my "Crack Brownies". In all honesty...it just this recipe http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/toffee-brownies-recipe/index.html
They are referred to as crack brownies...well because they are addictive like crack (not that I'd know about crack but I can just assume). I make them with the best ever brownie mix: Ghiradelli. Ahhhhhhhhhh.
As you probably figured, I'm out of points for the day and not very hungry so dinner may not happen tonight. I had a few glasses of wine (and none of the crack brownies!) so I think I'm good for now. We'll see. :)
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
Friday, August 7, 2009
Last night I made a Weight Watchers recipe for cheese ravioli with a veggie filled sauce and zucchini on the side. Filling and yummy. It went nicely with the glass of red wine I had. Oh....I almost forgot.....the best part was dessert! I had enough points left for a pretty nice dessert. I recently discovered a product made by The Peanut Butter Company called Dark Chocolate Dreams. Here's a description from their website (http://ilovepeanutbutter.com/index.php):
"Our all natural peanut butter blended with rich dark chocolate. It's like a peanut butter cup in a jar! Great on a sandwich, but just as wonderful spooned over ice cream, spread on fruits, or simply eaten out of the jar. It's equally delicious as an ingredient in your all-time favorite baked goodies like chocolate cake and bread pudding. It contains no cholesterol, no trans-fats, no hydrogenated oils, and no high-fructose corn syrup. It is also gluten-free, vegan, and certified kosher pareve by the Orthodox Union"
Sooooooooooo good! I put a tablespoon of it on a graham cracker and fell in love. It has about the same calorie/fat content as peanut butter so it needs to be eaten in moderation. It's hard to resist.....I can feeling it calling out to me now from the pantry...You should see the other peanut butter products they have on their website.....Oh My!!!
So today started off muy bueno because of the lovely number I saw on the scale. I have lost 5% of my starting weight. Nice.
Breakfast was the same as yesterday....so I'm not going to bore you. I just LOVE almond butter.
After a sweaty session in my Step N Sculpt class, I decided to make today a "chill" today so I hung out by our club's pool. They have a hummus wrap I'm obsessed with. So that was lunch...along with a ton of Tapatillo I poured all over the wrap. A little fruit found its way onto the plate which was my "dessert".
Now dinner is kinda up in the air. My newest love is Indian Food. I would cook it every night if I could. It just isn't the most "point" friendly stuff. I really want to make Rachael Ray's "Chicken Curry in a Hurry" tonight. The problem is I don't have enough points for that and basmati rice. I may just eat it with brown rice (less points). Not sure how brown rice will go with it but I guess I'm going to find out. Tune in and see....

What direction do I want to take my blog? hmmmmm.....
Facts: I like to eat.... a lot. I also like to work out. Finding a balance is tough but I work on it every day.....you'd think I'd have it mastered by now. Not quite but I'm getting there!
So I like to weigh myself everyday. Some say that is obsessive. Yes, it is. But it's the only way I can stay accountable to myself. I can take ahold of a problem before it becomes one.
I seem to always be on some sort of weight loss journey. My latest journey was to weigh 135 lbs by my brother's wedding (which is next Saturday). As you can see from my title, I'm almost there. I had 10 to lose and I started about 9 or 10 weeks ago.
I decided to take the Weight Watcher train for this journey. I had done it once before and it worked really well for me. My husband and I are doing it together and it actually has been fun! (as much fun as "dieting" can be).
So.....onto today's details:
Breakfast was a lovely light multi-grain english muffin with 1 Tbsp almond butter (an obsession) with a half cup of strawberries.
Went to spin class for 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of abs.
Hubby and I went to lunch at Chart House. What a beautiful spot! Chopped salad with balsamic vinegar to start and seared ahi and veggies to follow. Nam Nam
Right now I'm enjoyed a refreshing tonic water with lemon while watching cartoons with my son.
Enjoy your day!
