139.8....yesterday

Trying to keep the weight under 140 for the holidays. Wish me luck!!

Yesterday's breakfast was Special K Vanilla Almond cereal with almond milk and raspberries and blueberries. I really like this cereal. :)

I made some coffee to go and took the kids to school and then hit the road to Los Angeles to visit my mom. I dumped my suitcase off and we headed straight on over to Century City mall. I ended up getting a new dress, a new going out top and a pair of earrings. Tried to do some holiday shopping but they didn't have what I wanted. Poop.

We went to lunch at one of my favorite restaurants there: Gulfstream. Every time I've gone here, I've always enjoyed it. It was crowded so my mom and I grabbed a seat at the bar. I started with a small Caesar salad. Their Caesar salad is amazing. I love it! The dressing is really garlicy and it has corn on it....may sound weird but it's excellent!

For my entree, I ordered the fish special that day: Cajun Sea Bass with cole slaw. Another winner. The sea bass was a little spicy because of the cajun seasoning and the cole slaw was fabulous!!! I don't like sweet cole slaw and this wasn't.

We did some more shopping and walking around and headed back to my mom's house. We hung out there for a little while and then headed on out to dinner. We went to a little Italian restaurant by her house called Luciano's. It's a family owned restaurant and the owner is always there. I like restaurants like that. :)

I ordered a glass of merlot. I look tired.

I started with their house salad with Italian dressing. Very good dressing. Everything they make there is homemade.

I ordered the linguine with clams in a red sauce. I had them make it extra spicy. It was so good....I couldn't eat it all (surprise!!!!) but I did my best!

They had really good garlic bread that I dipped in the marinara sauce.

Now...how am I supposed to stay under 140 pounds if I eat like this? Something tells me it won't work.
I had a fabulous sleep last night...almost 11 hours!! That's nuts! Breakfast was a light wheat english muffin with Barney Butter and strawberries. Yes, I brought my own breakfast with me. The only thing different is the plate....it's my mom's. :)

We went over to Nordstrom so I could return a couple of things. I ended up getting another pair of boots: grey slouchy suede ones. I'm excited to wear them! I think I'm good in the boot department. I'll be wearing boots all winter it looks like! I also bought the Pumpkin Pie Spice shower gel from Philosophy. Ohhhh....it smells AMAZING!!!!
Lunch was at one of my favorite restaurants of all time: The Cheesecake Factory. It's so hard to resist their warm, yummy brown bread....so I didn't!
Normally, I tell them not to bring the bread but my mom wanted it so I had to eat it right? For my entree, I had one of my favorites: Herb Crusted Salmon Salad with the dressing on the side. The balsamic vinaigrette that goes with this salad is one of my favorite salad dressings on the planet.

I almost ordered the lunch pizza and salad but fortunately, they hand out the nutritional information there and I took a look at the calories for that and decided against it. It would have been like 1000 calories just for the pizza and salad without dressing. No thanks. My salmon salad is around 560 calories (without dressing). Also....I have Ladies Night tonight at another one of my favorite restaurants (stay tuned!) so I didn't want to go overboard.
So here is where I must leave you.....I need to get changed so I can meet my friends at dinner! Good night!
