I'm glad there's no scale in Hawaii

Confession: I still haven't gone to the gym yet. I'm looking at it this way: my body needs a break to relax. When I'm at home, it never gets one. So, I'm not going to feel guilty and just have a good time. (Remind me that I said this when I step on the scale when I get home).

Yesterday started out similar to the previous day: at the pool. Muffin lady came around with mini blueberry muffins. Went lovely with my coffee.

Then I had this bar that I brought from home. I really like it....sweet, crunchy and almondy. :)

After breakfast, we hung out a little longer at the pool. We then packed up and moved to our next hotel (Ritz Carlton....oh how I love thee!). The Ritz is on the other side of the island so the drive took about an hour. We stopped along the way for lunch at some place called RJ's or BJ's or something like that. I wasn't super impressed with the restaurant but there weren't a lot of options. I ordered the Caesar salad with seared ahi. It was pretty good actually even though the ahi looks like little strange squares.

Once we got settled at the hotel, it was time to get dressed for the sunset cruise. I had a couple glasses of wine and a few snacks. I was so busy catching up with friends that I forgot pics! Check me out....I'm holding my new bag! It's hard to see but I'll get a better shot later. :)

After the cruise, we all went to a restaurant and had another drink and some food. I had a shrimp, pesto pizza....it was ok. Then it was bedtime!!! The time change here is a little funky. I sleep as long as I want to and then wake up and look at the clock and it says 7AM. Well, I guess it's good that I'm not wasting my day away!
With our hotel room we get free breakfast each day. They have a lovely little breakfast buffet complete with an "omelet man." For me, the omelet maker "makes" the buffet!!! Here my first plate:

An omelet (with all the veggies and extra cheese and jalapenos with tabasco all over the top), salami, potatoes, an egg florentine frittata type thing (wasn't very good) and really yummy fresh pineapple! I love pineapple!

Plate number two:

A waffle with syrup, whipped cream and macadamia nuts, more pineapple and this Polynesian donut type thing (can't remember the name). My belly was happy after this meal. Needless to say, I did not eat lunch. Instead, all of us stayed at the pool ALL DAY drinking vodka tonics. This is the life. I am not leaving here....Ever. Somebody send my kids here and the rest of my clothes and shoes and I promise to never stop smiling. :)
Eventually, we did have to end our day at the pool and get ready for the Luau that was planned.

More of this: Why not???

Ok, before you look at the next picture....let me explain. Remember how I said that I didn't eat lunch.....and that I was drinking vodka tonics all day?? Well, what do you think happens when it WAS time to eat?? I became a voracious animal that was out of control. Ok, now look.

Ahi, crab salad, fried rice, pulled pork, steak and chicken. Fortunately, I didn't clean my plate...not even close. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. Dessert was a cute little tray of goodies.

I tried a macadamia nut tart and a brownie. After the luau, we all came back to the hotel for one last drink before hitting the hay.
So now I'm laying in bed, drinking coffee, and getting excited about the breakfast buffet I will soon have. When I get home, I will have to go on a diet consisting of only vegetables.
Today is our friend's wedding day so stay tuned for some more food and drink craziness!
