Friday has arrived and I’m ready for it!!

Last night was a nice relaxing evening. Nothing to do, nowhere to go. Hubby wasn’t home for dinner so I reheated some of Wednesday night’s Tomato Cream Sauce with chicken and put it on top of some linguine and steamed broccoli:

Excellent!! I got the kids and myself to bed early. Love it.

This morning I forgot to take a picture of my breakfast. Today was Grandparent’s Day at my daughter’s school so I had my mom and my mother in law here so things weren’t business as usual. You’ve seen it before though: Barney Butter on a wheat waffle with a side of cantaloupe. Yeah, yeah, yeah…boring. :)

I dropped off the kids and the grandmas and went straight to the gym. Since I was missing my normal Friday classes, I combined an hour of cardio and weights to make up for it. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill (20 of it HIIT – High Intensity Interval Training) and the other 30 minutes was all weights.

After changing, it was grandma pick up time. Hubby and I took them to lunch at our club. My wonderful hubby HAD to order the nachos:

Of course I HAD to have some. Their nachos are so good. I ordered the turkey burger. Since I was on a roll, I ordered the “frings” to go with it:

Yum. I love onion rings. My mom and mother in law didn’t know what “frings” were. French fries and onion rings peeps!!!! Have you heard of “frings”? By the way, my turkey burger had pepper jack cheese, avocado, red onion, sprouts and tomatoes. Nice combo.

After lunch, my mom went home and I took my mother in law with me to pick up my daughter. We took her to McDonald’s for a yogurt parfait until it was time to pick up my son.

Once we all got home,  I did some laundry and got the kids ready to go with my mother in law to a birthday celebration at my niece’s synagogue. You know what that means right? Hubby and I have the evening off! Yes! That also means:

I get to watch the news instead of Nickelodeon.

I am going to meet my husband at our club (again) for drinks and dinner soon. Love it!

French fries or onion rings?

I like fries better, but I'm not big on either. I tend to go for sweet over salty.
