My son's birthday party was a success! Everyone had a great time, especially the birthday boy! I did try some of his birthday cake and it was quite delicious!!

We all came back to our house and I opened a bottle of this:

Here are the Blonde Brownies and some Sugar Cookie Bars that I pulled out of the freezer:

Dinner was stuffed shells, penne with meat sauce, garlic bread and Caesar salad:

For dessert, I put out an ice cream sundae bar. YUM!!

I got everything cleaned up, the kids put to bed and I was in bed by 9:15....I was impressed!

Breakfast was a veggie omelet with low fat shredded cheddar cheese:

I ended up adding salsa and Cholula to it of course!

I went for a walk up our "fire road" and for a quick 2 mile run after that. It felt good to get back into running again!!!

I came home, showered, did some laundry and got ready to go to a friend's baby shower.
The place they had the baby shower was decorated so cute!! She is having a girl so there was lots of pink! They had a cool margarita machine so I had some....it packed a serious punch....just the way I like it! :)

They had a taco bar complete with rice and beans:

I did go back for seconds. :) And of course I had cake!

I had a great time and it was nice seeing friends I hadn't seen in a long time!!

Now I need to get down to business and finish the laundry and work on some school projects. I hope everyone had a nice weekend!
What is your favorite ethnic cuisine? I love Indian food!!

  1. I'd have to say Japanese (sushi!) is my absolute fav. What a great weekend of celebrations.
