135.8...and the giveaway winner is announced!!
After I blogged that my favorite restaurant is Firenze....my hubby came home and announced that's where he was taking us to dinner! Score!!! Mondays are half-priced bottles of wine day so we rolled with it:
Hubby and I shared our normal: Chopped Caesar Salad:
I ordered the Linguine with Clams for my entree:
I didn't like it. :)
I went to sleep a happy (and full!) girl! Guess I deserve the "weight gain." :)
Breakfast this morning was plain non fat yogurt with Fiber One cereal and strawberries, blackberries and raspberries:
I took the kids to school and it was off to cooking class at Great News! You know I'm a happy camper when I get to go to cooking class. Today's class was entitled: Springtime in Paris.
First recipe was Quiche Lorraine with Bacon and Swiss and a Buttery Crust:
Uh...bacon and cheese? What could be better!?! I loved it!
The second recipe was Chicken Veronique with Red Grapes and Fresh Tarragon:
Super excellent sauce!!! As you can imagine, I wasn't a fan of the grapes in it, but you could just leave those out.
Next up was Chicken Crepes with Asparagus, Ham and Mushrooms with Veloute Sauce:
This was so delicious!!! The sauce was like velvet and I loved the filling!!! I would definitely serve this for a brunch dish!
The next dish was French Onion and Gruyere Topped Rib Eye Steaks:
Holy decadence! That onion sauce was amazing!!!! I forgot to take a picture of the dessert!!! Anyway...it was Strawberry Bavarian Cream Mousse with Fresh Sugared Strawberries. Light and delicious!!
