142.4…An Epic Meal
I can’t stop smiling when I look at my photos from my dinner at Phil’s BBQ last night. We met some friends (who enjoy food as much as I do) and had a great meal.
It all started with a glass of wine…..
I ordered a half rack of ribs with Cole slaw and macaroni salad.
The ribs are SO GOOD there! Their barbeque sauce is the perfect blend of tangy, spicy and sweet.
The Cole slaw is excellent! The macaroni salad was my least favorite so I didn’t eat a ton of it. I focused on the rest of the good stuff including:
Onion rings! They are perfectly fried and crispy. I really went all out, didn’t I? :) You know what….I enjoyed EVERY bite. That’s what makes a cheat meal fabulous.
This morning it was back to healthy eats. It’s ok to have a “cheat meal” every now and then as long as you jump right back on board the health wagon.
Breakfast was Dulce de Leche Cheerios with almond milk and a grapefruit.
I took the kids to school and then met the girls to work off all the calories I ate last night with some Slim and 6 video time. After that I went to Zumba class. Hopefully I was able to burn off about half the calories I ate last night. :)
We all went to Subway for lunch. I think I’m becoming obsessed. This may be a problem.
My new regular sandwich: Roasted Chicken on wheat with LOTS of buffalo hot sauce. Muy fabuloso.
Then it was more errands, a stop at Starbucks for an afternoon pick-me-up and back to the school to pick up the kids.
I wish I was going back to Phil’s BBQ tonight but I will be cooking instead. Oh well….I can dream, can’t I?
Tomorrow I head to Los Angeles to spend the weekend with my sister in law and help celebrate her birthday. Looking forward to a girl’s weekend!
