141.8…Why?

Why is there so much good food in the world?

Why is this simple olive oil dip so good?

Piatti in La Jolla makes the best dip for their bread: olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, red pepper flakes and parsley. To.Die.For

Why do I love wine so much?

My Mista salad was simple yet delicious: mixed greens with a lemon vinaigrette.

I ordered the same thing I also get at Piatti: Pappardelle: Saffron Pasta Ribbons, Shrimp, Tomatoes, Garlic, Chili Flakes, Arugula, Lemon, White Wine & Butter.

Why is pasta so good?

No need to ask the why question on this one:

Budino Di Mela: Brioche, Apple & Sultana with Bourbon Caramel & Vanilla Gelato.

Dessert is just damn good.

On Friday night when I made a waffle with Peanut Butter & Co’s Dark Chocolate Dreams for my dessert, I thought I had come up with a great breakfast idea for sure.

I tried it out this morning with strawberries:

It tasted delicious…and kept me full for about twenty minutes. Hmmm….

After having some peanut butter pretzels, I dropped the kids off at a friends house so I could get my nails done quickly (I’m very anal about my hands looking nice). Afterwards I picked them up and snacked on the fries they were having for lunch. By the way, Oreida Fast Food Fries (grocery store freezer section) are the best frozen fries ever.

When I got home, I was famished. Lunch was a tuna wrap and a salad:

I tried mixing the tuna with a Laughing Cow cheese wedge instead of mayo. It was good and will do the trick but it doesn’t replace that good old mayonnaise taste. I really do love real tuna salad.

I’ve got some brownies in the oven and the smell is intoxicating. I’m submitting these fabulous things for Steph’s blog bake sale coming up so I need to take some pictures of them. She’s running the San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon and is raising money for Team in Training. You go girl!!

I think we are going to The Hamburger Factory tonight with some friends. I’d really be better off going to someplace called The Salad Factory but you can’t win ‘em all.

Mayonnaise or not?

  1. bahaha! Every town should have a hamburger factory NEXT DOOR to a salad factory =) Then life just may be complete <3

and oh yeah. I totally drove almost 3 hours for soup plantation. I think I used every veggie ever on my salad and ate FOUR blueberry muffins without the slightest twinge of guilt ever. Pure heaven!

  2. I hear you - I love wine too. And who doesn't love olive oil dip?? YUm!!

I use a lot of fat-free mayo but try to avoid the real thing (not because of taste... I love it... because of the cals/fat. boo)

  3. I love all those things! And a place like the hamburger factory - wish I had one nearby! Yes to mayonnaise! It's just not the same without.

  4. I need mayonnaise in my life for things like wasabi coleslaw, potato salad, and tuna. For a regular turkey sandwich, etc. I skip it in favor of mustard. A lot more flavah, for a lot less calories!
