137.8…Dinner at Sunset

I ate my current favorite snack yesterday after I brought the kiddos home from school: Wheat Thins and a Babybel light cheese. Why is this cheese so good!?!

Last night was date night for my husband and I. We had a Groupon type certificate to Poseidon in Del Mar that was expiring so we decided to put it to good use.

I was recently complaining about the time change but there is one benefit I discovered last night. A beautiful sunset at dinner time.

While admiring the beautiful view, I enjoyed a glass of wine.

To start I ordered the Greek salad.

It was just ok. It barely had any dressing on it so it was a bit boring. I did enjoy the feta cheese and pine nuts on the salad though.  I could have asked for more dressing but I didn’t want to wait for it (I was starving) and it’s not good for me anyway.

Everything was made up to me when my entree arrived.

Sesame-Crusted Hawaiian Tuna “Ahi” served rare on wasabi whipped potatoes, ginger bok-choy and teriyaki miso sauce.

I LOVED it!!!! Check out all that tuna! The wasabi whipped potatoes were out of this world. I ate every bite. 

My husband and I also scarfed down dessert.

Mud Pie! One of my favorite desserts! We enjoyed it while watching this:

Could life get any better?? :) Great date night.

I had a breakfast sandwich this morning made up of egg beaters, a slice of cheese all on a toasted sandwich thin. I had some cantaloupe on the side.

I took the kids to school and went to get my hair done. Afterwards I went to the school to volunteer. On the way, I ate this random bar I found in my pantry. It was ok.

Next stop was the mall to get a birthday gift for a party this weekend. My goal was to have Subway there for lunch but it turns out they were remodeling the whole mall and Subway wasn’t there at the moment. So I went to the Nordstrom E-bar and ate lunch there.

I had the Albacore Tuna & Tomato salad. I loved this! It was a scoop of tuna salad with big tomato wedges, a hard boiled egg, celery, carrots and crackers.

I just got back from picking up the kids from school. Tonight is Bunco night in our neighborhood so I need to get dressed. Have a great evening!
