Hello everyone! I'm going to have to breeze through this post....I still need to load the car and go pick up the kids at camp and then it's vacation time!

I had a blast at Ladies Night last night for sure! Love spending time with the girls! While I was getting ready, I had a glass of wine at home:

Dina picked me up and we were on our way to Firenze! I had one glass of Merlot during the evening:

Normally the hubby and I split the Chopped Caesar salad but I had it all to myself last night. :) I thought about ordering a different appetizer to change it up, but in the end I went with my usual:

For my entree...I went old school again: Calamari Marinara!

Dina ordered it too since I talk about it so much. Unfortunately, I think there was a different chef last night. Don't get me wrong...it was still good but not as good as usual. :( My bowl looked a little like calamari soup and Dina's lacked enough sauce. Boo!! For the first time, I did NOT finish my bowl. I think the portion was even bigger than normal. I still enjoyed it though. We decided to skip dessert....good thing...I did not need it! :)

Breakfast this morning was a light wheat English muffin with Barney Butter and a side of watermelon:

I took the kids to camp and went to Zumba. Came home, cleaned up and began to pack up. For lunch, I made a bowl of the rest of the leftovers in the fridge: Turkey Tamale Pie, Chili, Pico de Gallo and chopped onions:

I also made a batch of Rice Krispy treats for all the kids this weekend. Ok...I need to get to work. Hopefully I'll be able to blog in Orange County but we'll see! :)
Do you have any vacations coming up? After this trip, our next is back to Orange County for a wedding during Labor Day weekend.

  1. We are heading to La Jolla next Sunday. I can't wait! While there, we will head up to Huntington Beach for a night to see my cousin and her kids. Then 2 weeks in MN in September.

  2. Sounds like you had a great night with your friends!!

Have a great vacation!! We have traveled all we are going to this summer, I think!
