The Drake Shake

I just got back from our girls weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel in downtown San Diego and it was a total blast. I have tons of pictures to share but first let's get caught up.

Thursday night I went to a business event with my husband. They had a pretty spread at the buffet.

I, of course, helped myself to a bit of everything.

Friday morning's breakfast was a Special K Flatbread Breakfast Sandwich.

The kids had a carnival at the school that day that I helped put on so I was there the entire half day that the kids at school. When school got out, I took them to McDonald's for lunch.

Premium grilled chicken McWrap with lots of spicy buffalo sauce. I brought the kids home after lunch, then drove to downtown San Diego to meet my sister in law and some friends at the Hard Rock Hotel to get our weekend started.

We enjoyed some snacks at Mary Jane's restaurant in the hotel.

After dinner, we went back to the hotel for a bit of dancing before calling it a night.

We spent the entire day yesterday at the pool. It was glorious.

So….one of our friends', Amy, introduced us to an iPhone app that entertained us the entire night. I've never laughed so hard in my life. It's called "Drake Shake". You can take any photo on your phone and insert Drake, the rapper/singer, into it. Who thinks of this stuff??

So. Here's a photo we took at dinner last night:

Then you "Drake Shake" it and voila! Drake is at dinner with us!

IMG 5976

We went out dancing after dinner to El Camino. Look who joined us!

Drake!

He's everywhere!

It was amazing how entertaining that was. I won't bore you with the 500 other photos Drake appeared in yesterday. :)

Breakfast turned into lunch this morning at Mariscos El Pulpo. Guacamole for the table:

Fish tacos:

The service at this place sucked but the food was delicious. They had a pretty good assortment of hot sauces too. Winning.

Now I think I need to stop eating for about a week.

After lunch, we shopped for awhile and then everyone headed home. I had such a fun weekend…it went too fast!

What's your favorite iPhone app?

  1. Ha, I'll have to look for that app - love it! That pizza looks to die for! And for the record, I always have a bottle of Tabasco in my purse, just in case I find myself at a place with no hot sauce! :D
