140.0…Successes & Failures

Last night I decided to make my husband’s favorite dish for dinner: Il Fornaio’s Conchiglie Al Pollo. I obtained the recipe from a cooking class at Il Foranio and have made it a few times since. Each time I get closer to perfecting the recipe.

Last night’s came pretty darn close. The husband was mighty happy.

I decided to make brownies for dessert. The recipe I chose (MMMMM…Brownies from allrecipes.com) had tons of great reviews and it was super simple to make….only needed on pan to make them. Well….they were just ok in my opinion. Easy to make, yes but the taste was boring. Not a failure I guess but not a success either.

This morning’s breakfast was a fried egg on a toasted English muffin with shredded cheese.

So….I hate the time change. I don’t like losing an hour of sleep and it always screws up the kids. I wish they would just pick a time and stick with it. Ok, end of rant.

I’ve basically spent the day cleaning up around the house. I cleaned my desk off and put all the laundry away. Cleaned up the kids’ toy area and cleaned out my inbox. Success.

Lunch was more Indian food leftovers:

  2. Melissa - You must try the Brownie Truffle Baking Mix from Trader Joe's...best brownies I've ever had. They're very thick and rich, and my favorite part is that the chips harden once the brownies have cooled! I love the texture of these brownies too!
