139.8…Traffic

I took the kids over to Lisa’s house last night for dinner. She picked up Pei Wei for us. I had the kid’s size honey seared shrimp with brown rice and veggies.

Lisa bought some crab wontons. I had never had them before.

Of course they were good. Anything fried is usually good.

Last night I slept like a rock. I slept so well that when I woke up, I didn’t know what day of the week it was, what time I was supposed to get up or what I was supposed to do that day.

I eventually figured it out and got up and got dressed. Breakfast was pineapple Chobani yogurt with Coconut-Sour Cherry Granola and strawberries.

After taking the kids to school, I drove to Los Angeles to visit my parents. Crazy traffic today. What usually takes two hours took three. Ugh. I don’t miss Los Angeles traffic. I loved everything else about living there except for that.

My mom and I went to Corner Bakery for lunch. I had the sandwich/soup combo: Turkey Monterey Panini (thin layers of smoked turkey, fresh spinach, artichoke Asiago spread and provolone on grilled sourdough) along with the Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup.

I really enjoyed this. The soup was especially good.

After lunch we went to Target where I bought a ton of unnecessary clothes. I’m not sure I can ever get out of Target without something that wasn’t on my list. Oh well.

Tonight we are going to pick up dinner (El Pollo Loco?) and chill. Sounds like a good plan to me!

How’s the traffic situation where you live?

  1. I live in the suburbs of Chicago, so it's not too bad, unless the weather is bad. I have about a 30 minute commute one way to work - not bad!

You should try to make my crab rangoon breakfast wontons - so good!
