Foolishness is my Gain
Hello from Rancho Palos Verdes! The wedding we are going to is tonight and I’m excited! I love weddings. Maybe it’s all the food and wine? Hmm. :)
Yesterday’s breakfast was something you may have seen before.
I’m sorry if I’m boring you. I think I need some new breakfast ideas. I wish I liked oatmeal. Ick.
After I took the kids to school, I came home to finish packing up. We picked up my daughter from school and went to La Salsa for a quick lunch. I ordered a shrimp burrito without sour cream.
I didn’t eat the chips. They were a bit stale and not very tasty. I’m trying to not eat food just because it’s in front of me.
We picked up my son and hit the road. An hour and a half later we arrived at our hotel, The Terranea. My husband went to check in while I waited with the kids in the car. When he returned he handed me this:
My eyes probably looked like they were bugging out of my face. Champagne when you check in?? Genius! Good thing my husband didn’t want his. He’s not a big fan of champagne. Fool.
We parked in front of our room and were greeted by this view when we came inside:
I guess it’s ok. :)
After unloading everything I broke out the snacks.
These things will be the death of me.
A bit later, happiness occurred.
I mean, look how happy that bottle is!! How could you not smile? :)
My husband went golfing with the boys of this wedding party and I chilled with the kiddos. Many cartoons and a lot of playing referee later, my husband returned and it was time for dinner.
It was getting late and we wanted something quick: pizza was the consensus. We made our way down the road to Raefaello’s Pizza. It was a little hole in the wall place with no one in it. Hmm.
We ordered the hot wings.
They were ok.
We ordered a pizza with onions and peppers.
I ate 2 slices. It was ok. Not the best but it got the job done.
We have a big refrigerator in our room so we made a stop at Trader Joe’s for some groceries.
One of the things I bought was this cereal for breakfast this morning:
It was pretty good….a little sweet actually. I had it with milk but it would be awesome on yogurt!
We are trying to figure out where to go for lunch. There is a marathon going on here right now and everything is booked up!
Do you love champagne or are you a fool like my husband?
Any new breakfast ideas for me (that do not involve oatmeal or bananas)?
