Sayonara Tokyo!

For our last night in Tokyo, we really lived it up! We went to the New York Grill which was on the 52nd floor of the  Park Hyatt for dinner. The views were amazing!

We were able to get a last minute reservation at the “bar” area. It turned out to be a special treat!

We got to watch the chefs make the desserts!

My meal started with a delicious Caesar salad.

For my entree, I ordered the Yonezawa Sirloin.

We ordered a few sides: broccoli, duck fat fries and asparagus.

My brother and I shared a couple of desserts. New York Cheesecake (citrus fruit compote, orange ice cream):

And Chocolate, Mint Ganache, Marshmallow and Peppermint Ice Cream:

The meal was so delicious.

After dinner, it was time for some more karaoke! We are hooked!

It got pretty intense. ;)

Breakfast this morning was the buffet at our hotel. I did work.

We decided to take the metro to Shibuya for some shopping and to see the busiest pedestrian crosswalk in the world.

It was like a swarm of ants. We eventually joined the swarm and crossed the street for a bit of shopping.

We stopped at Mr. Bean to get one of their delicious treats…a pancake type dessert filled with custard. Pretty freaking amazing.

We  checked out of the Hilton Tokyo Hotel and headed to Narita airport where I am now waiting for my flight to Los Angeles. Followed by the two hour drive back to San Diego.

I cannot describe what an amazing trip this has been. Not only did I get to spend quality time with my family but experienced something that I’ll keep with me forever. Tokyo is, by far, the most fascinating place I’ve ever been. There was no shortage of laughter on this trip. I will miss this crazy place.
