141.8 yesterday; 142.2…The Gym Misses Me

Happy Friday everyone! Wow….this week flew by!

Wednesday night, I transformed my Creamy Macaroni and Cheese leftovers into a new meal.

I mixed some of the macaroni and cheese with peas and a diced tomato and baked it at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.  Usually I find that mac and cheese does not reheat well but this turned out fabulous!

It had congealed much more and was the perfect consistency!

Thursday morning’s breakfast did not have a single fruit or vegetable in it. I just wasn’t feeling it. All I wanted was a tortilla, egg beaters, cheese and Cholula hot sauce.

My wish is my own command. Sometimes you just have to live on the edge.

I took the kids to school and met my friend for some holiday shopping. We stopped at Bloomingdales for lunch. I ordered a tuna sandwich and fries.

Too bad the fries were cold and the tuna sandwich was dry. Boo! I was not about to complain and have to wait for another….that would be a waste of shopping time. So I just ate it.

I picked up the kids from school and came home to change for a Jewish Federation dinner that my friend invited me to. The speakers were so amazing and inspirational. I can’t remember the last time I went to an event like this and was thoroughly enthralled with the speakers. At times, you could hear a pin drop in the room with all 500 of us.

Too bad the food wasn’t as sensational. We started with a salad which I didn’t photograph. Not everyone knew about the blog and I felt weird taking pictures of my food at an event like that. My friend ended up telling everyone about the blog so the camera came out. ;)

The main course was some sort of fish.

And root vegetables and rice.

At least they had wine. :) The dessert was pretty good. It was too dark during dessert to take pictures but there were all sorts of little mini desserts that we passed around the table.

This morning’s breakfast was simple: Fage yogurt with strawberries.

I dropped the kids off at school and then went to the gym. There was a mix-up with the gym’s schedule so no one came to class so I left to run errands. My workouts have been seriously lacking the last couple of weeks. This time of year I become a bit more relaxed about getting my workouts in which isn’t good. Hopefully next week will be better!

I went to get my nails done and picked my daughter up from school. I was super hungry and decided to visit her favorite restaurant: Souplantation.

I had my usual but skipped the pizza bread. (The horror!) When I went to go get some, they were in the middle of making a new one and didn’t have any out. I took it as a sign that I did not need to be eating copious amounts of pizza bread at that moment.

I got my car washed (a rare occurrence) and picked up my son from school.  We have no plans tonight and I’m grateful for that. I see an early bedtime in my future. Can we say “grandma”??

Are you consistent with your workouts during the holidays?

Comments

  1. I feel you with the lack of consistency with workouts. I find it easy to be "too busy" to get it done.
