145.2…Victories & Losses

I do not understand how the weekend always seems to fly by. It seems like it was just Friday night...

We were supposed to go out with friends for dinner Friday night but my husband was feeling under the weather so we stayed home and picked up Brett's BBQ. I had a half rack of baby back ribs and sweet potato fries.

Their sweet potato fries are perfect. Always crispy…even when you bring them home!

Saturday morning's breakfast was Honey Nut Cheerios and almond milk.

We went to my son's basketball game (they won!) then home for lunch. I only ate half my barbecue from the night before so I finished the rest for lunch.

It was definitely a day of sports on Saturday. We watched several football games including my college team, the USC Trojans. That game did not end well for us. It was awful, as a matter of fact. If you saw it, then you know what I mean. Ugh….let's move on.

Dinner that night was turkey tacos with all the fixings.

One of our favorite meals. :)

Sunday morning we had some friends come into town for the Chargers football game. We went to our club for breakfast. They had a fabulous buffet. I enjoyed a giant omelet:

Followed by half a bagel with cream cheese, lox and the most amazing cinnamon buns I've ever had. Worth.every.calorie.

We went to the Chargers game which resulted in a fabulous victory against the Jets. After Saturday's loss, a victory was in order! :)

Last night we went with Alicia and Joe to the club down the street for dinner. It was Joe's birthday so we had to celebrate. :) I had a plate of salad from the salad bar first:

Followed by a Sausage & Fennel Flatbread.

It wasn't very good. Dry and flavorless, I thought. Oh well…you can't win 'em all!

Monday morning came too fast. Ugh! Breakfast was Honey Nut Cheerios again. Didn't feel like doing/eating anything else.

After the school drop off, I went to Cardio Muscle class. I came home for a bit, then met my husband and some friends for lunch at PF Chang's. I had the egg drop soup to start.

Then I had the Ginger & Broccoli Chicken with brown rice:

Is it Friday yet?

Were any of the teams you were cheering for this weekend victorious?

  1. It's funny because I am in a football pool with my husband, step-son and daughter in law - and Lizz and I are killing the boys with our pics, and 9/10 we don't even know who's playing!
