142.8…I skipped dessert.
It’s ok….you can pick yourselves up off the floor now. I know….it comes as a shocker to me too! I didn’t eat dessert on Valentine’s Day. Why in the world would I do a thing like that? I must be out of my mind!?! No…I realized I was satisfied and knew dessert would take me to that “I wish I hadn’t eaten that” place. Sometimes I actually make smart decisions!
I did have plenty of wine though. I mean, I’m not that crazy!!
Hubby and I went to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse for our Valentine’s Day dinner. It ranks up there with my favorite restaurants ever.
I started with the lettuce wedge salad:
Sorry for the dark pictures….I didn’t want to use a flash and make a spectacle of myself….the restaurant was jammed!
Hubby and I split a filet. He’s not a big steak eater so I get most of it. I had a side of grilled shrimp and we shared creamed spinach and potatoes au gratin.
Ruth’s Chris has the best creamed spinach of any restaurant I’ve been to….and I’ve tried a lot. I ate every bite on my plate and felt happy and satisfied.
Oh Ruth’s Chris…..how I love thee.
Breakfast was Cinnamon Burst Cheerios with almond milk and a side of strawberries…same as the day before.
I took the kids to school and went to spin class. I cleaned up and met the husband and his mom for lunch at Milton’s. I had a cup of pea soup:

I love this salad!!!! Afterwards we went over to Torrey Pines to walk around. We ended up walking down this trail all the way to the ocean. What a gorgeous view!

The hike back up was great exercise!! The weather is beyond beautiful today but I think it’s supposed to rain for the next few days. Does that mean I’ll get stuck running on the treadmill all week? Oh the boredom!!
