140.8 yesterday…Success

I did it. I went all 12 days with healthy eats and no alcohol. I have to admit that I feel better and am very proud of myself.

I made pizza and salad for Tuesday night’s dinner.

July 2013 011

Pillsbury crust, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, onions and peppers. Simple and everyone in the family loves it.

Wednesday morning’s breakfast was pineapple Chobani, Cranberry Pecan Granola and strawberries.

July 2013 012

I took the kids to the camp bus then went to the gym for an hour. On my way to an appointment, I snacked on an apple and a babybel cheese.

July 2013 013

I got my nails done then headed over to Luna Grill for lunch.

July 2013 014

Greek salad with a chicken kabob.

Dinner that night was Chicken Cacciatore that I had defrosted. It froze very well!

July 2013 015

I made a Caesar salad to go with it.

July 2013 016

Breakfast yesterday was a toasted English muffin with peanut butter and a grapefruit.

July 2013 017

We all hit the road to Los Angeles to spend the 4th of July with friends and family. We stopped at my brother in law’s house first.

The 12 day draught ended.

July 2013 018

And it was awesome.

We picked up salads at Gelson’s for lunch.

July 2013 019

Then we headed to a friend’s house. They had an amazing spread of delicious food.

July 2013 020

I enjoyed ribs, steak and different salads.

Oh yeah….and dessert.

July 2013 022

I brought over chocolate chip cookies and “crack brownies”.  We watched fireworks then headed back to the hotel.

This morning we had room service for breakfast. It rocked my world.

July 2013 023

We took the kiddos over to my sister in law’s house, then headed to the Cheesecake Factory to meet a friend for lunch.

More wine. :)

We spent the rest of the day shopping and are off to dinner soon. :)

How did you spend the 4th?

Comments

  1. On a plane! Brought the kids back to Az to visit for a few weeks. The only bad part is it literally takes 24 hrs and 2 stops to get here. The good thing is I have already been shopping! My 12 days of no alcohol started today.

  2. I actually thought it would be hard to ditch the wine during the week, but it isn't too bad! Turns out I can grill without a glass of wine in my hand!
