149.0...Pizza, Pizza and More Pizza
On Saturday night, we went to the Bar Mitzvah celebration of Yamia and Asaf’s son Nathan.
It was a beautiful evening to celebrate!
There was a ton of delicious food but I mainly stuck to the sushi station. There was a pizza truck for the kids and of course I had to try it. It was some darn good pizza!
Clearly we didn’t have any fun. Lol. All jokes aside, Yamia and Asaf know how to throw a party. I think the kids had fun too. ;)
Sunday’s breakfast was scrambled eggs with onions and cheese.
Sunday was a lazy day spent in sweat pants. I was productive in getting some of my to-do list done. Lunch was a turkey sandwich, chips and pickles:
For dinner we met a ton of friends at Rosati’s. We shared a bunch of appetizers including fried pickles and hot wings.
A few of shared the deep dish pizza will onions and bell peppers.
It was pretty spot on. I mean, not as good as Giordano’s in Chicago but pretty close!
Desert was their awesome skillet cookies. These things are dangerous.
Monday’s breakfast:
The kids are on spring break so there was no early morning rush. I ran some errands including going to the grocery store. I brought some sushi back for lunch.

I took the kids bowling and to dinner at Filippis Pizza Grotto. We shared a pizza. Half cheese, half onions and bell peppers.
It was good but a bit too cheesy for me, and I like cheese!
Yesterday’s breakfast:
I went to spin class, then a cooking class taught by Phillis Carey. The class was “Springtime Appetizers”. The first one was Crispy Prosciutto Cups Filled with Egg Salad:
You probably could fill these cups with anything and they’d be good!
Next up was a cocktail: Blackberry Vodka Spritz:
Very refreshing and not too sweet!
The next recipe was Parmesan Asparagus Roll-Ups with Bacon Cream Cheese Filling:
These were ridiculously good.
French Caramelized Onion Puff Pastry Cups:
These are just like the ones at Trader Joe’s but quite possibly better! I need to make these for the next party I need to bring an appetizer for!
Smoked Paprika Prawns with Basil Mango Chimichurri:
Excellent. Great flavor on the shrimp and I didn’t even mind the mango!
Smoked Salmon, Dill and Caper Torta with Buttered Toasts:
Another winner. It’s hard to decide which one was my favorite!
For dinner I took the kids to Pizza Rev.
Yes. That was the third night of pizza in a row. I don’t even think I’m sick of it yet!
Breakfast this morning:
I went to Orange Theory then home for bit. My kids have friends coming over so we will do something fun tonight!
